Not Afraid Redux
I took a photo of myself using Photo Booth on a MacBook laptop. I used Pixlr.com to manipulate the image. First, I duplicated the photo layer under layer options. I put the copy behind the original layer and switched both layers to screen mode found on layer options. This made my face appear white. I I used the gradient feature found on the tool box and applied gradient colors to the background. Then I went to Wordle.com and created 3 separate wordles using the lyrics to “Not Afraid” by Eminem. I chose this song because it talks about not giving up, about fighting through adversity. I merged all the layers except my face photo together and put the layer behind the photo of my face. Since the merged layer was still in the screen mode it created the color portrait.
